I got some inspiration from the CTMH bulletin board and this is what I created from the March Stamp set of the Month Butterfly Wings. The paper is the Emporium Creative Basics paper pack..which is designed for card makers. I love the way this card just pops.

Well I had some pictures of some random moments of January and February and I wanted to include them in the family scrapbook. So I picked all my photos out and tried to think how I could even put them together. Then I thought I had a layout already made from the Perfect Day paper pack and it held alot of photos. As I laid out the photos I moved them around a few times till I found spots that looked like a good fit for each photo...it was perfect.

Now as I type this I realize that this was just random moments of the life and I used the Perfect Day paper..that is ironic. I thought these needed no explaination so there is no journalling.

I am home and back to work. We had a great time in Seattle learning new things and activities to use in the classroom. We did go to a few clubs and the last night was great...however the plane ride home was a little rocky. But I have been so busy trying to get back in the swing of things and back to work. speaking of swing to things check out these cards I made.

Here are a couple cards I made a week or so ago with the March Stamp Set of the Month. These are called "swinger" cards. There is pop dot holding the butterfly to a pendulum on the inside of the card. I took some pictures so you could see how to make it. Between the folded peice of cardstock in the inside of the card is a penny to give weight so that when you shake the card the image swinges back and forth.

I am off to Seattle this morning but I wanted to post one more of my layouts before I go.

This is one of the layouts that we made at the Album Retreat and at first I loved the layout but didn't know how I would use it with the title "from Small beginnings come Great things". But one night the boys were playing and wrestling like they often do and I thought I should scrap this because it is such a great memory of the boys laughing and trying to take eachother down. In this occasion the boys were wrestling on my bed... not the best place I know. But when I got the pictures back and looked at the colors I knew this layout was the one I wanted to use. I didn't use any of the pictures of them flipping eachother over or Josh my younest being the one who actually dominates these moments from my tiny oldest son Caleb. Josh just has more muscle and he is dense. Caleb is tall and all arms and legs..but he is fast. Well enjoy the layout it is made from Emporium and uses a chipboard frame, Connections stamp set, sparkles, pretty pin, and some ribbon.

I am busy packing for my trip to Seattle this week. We leave on Thursday morning. There are a group of math teachers from my work that are going to learn more about the TI calculators and applications we can do with them in the classroom. Wow did that sound geeky!!! But I guess every once in a while I have to geek out and do something more math related since I love it so.

Here is a layout I made for a friend a few months ago and I decided it was soo good that I wanted to use it as my son's Valentine Party spread. It was my first party of his that I could join in the fun. I was the official photographer..probably because I am a the paparrazi in my kids life. Enjoy!!!

This weekend I took some time for a little therapy. I sat down Saturday morning and put some pages together that I had on hand and made some cards. I go the Ms. On the Go stamp set a few weeks ago and decided to play around and make some cards. The paper packs are older ones that I am trying to use up slowly. I started with the lady pushing a baby stroller because my cousin is coming to town and we are throwing her a shower. I have been on the planning committee securing a location and getting details. Well enjoy the cards and I will slowly put up pictures over the next week or so of the projects I put together. So check back.

It has been an interesting couple of weeks. I have been planning the Academic Pep Assembly at school. This assembly recognizes students with a 3.0 or better or students who have raised their gpa by 0.5. We also do Perfect Attendance. I purchase t-shirts for all the students who get recognized...this year I bought 1026 t-shirts and we have 1500 students. So that is AWESOME!! I have a group a students that are running the assembly and have been planning it with me. Which is good because I WON'T EVEN BE THERE!!! I am not happy about this. I am doing all this work and I can't even see it executed. I will be in Seattle at my Calculator Conference. However the kids are excited and I am stressed out. It is hard to plan something you can't see and then I even have to plan my lessons for the days I won't even be here for. I am not sure if this is a fair deal but hey..that's my life.

So that is the reason that I have been silent these last few days and probably the next week. But I do have one good thing that happened this morning... I won a free paper pack and stickease from Close To My Heart. Well I must go...I have more planning to do.
