This is the snow layout that I made for our family album. I used the Aspen paper pack for this layout with some rub ons, stickease, and hinges. Another consultant Shannon Buck sent this idea pack to me so I decided to use it for our layout. It is not as colorful as I do most of the time but it is very detailed which is something that I am trying to work on since the Album retreat.

I made this cute little cupcake the other day from paper, ribbon, a velvet brad and flowers that we sell. I was inspired by some ladies on the CTMH bulletin board...there are no directions so I just played till something worked.

I will try to explain what I did. First I cut a large cicle about 6 inches in diameter and folded it in half about 8 times. Then I made a smaller circle of CS and put it in the center of my folded circle (as a base) then I pinched each of the folds to create a cupcake holder. I took another piece of CS as made a ring with it to liquid glass the folded of the holder to...this helps it keep its shape. The top is a pyramid with the same circular base as the bottom. I put threaded the chocolate grosgrain ribbon on our floss and then liquid glassed it around the pyramid to adhere the ribbon. I added the large flower and some ric rac for a icing look. Then the smaller flower and the velvet brad as a cherry.
I think it turned out adorable. It is not something I would teach I am not even sure how good I described it. But being a Geometry teacher it was doable. Good luck it you attempt it.

So while the boys napped yesterday I was playing around with some little clip boards my sister gave me and this is what I came up with. I used some scrap bulk paper that I have laying around and stamped "notes" on the top of them using our Chocolate Alphabet set.. I love this one. They are simple and cute. I am thinking of adding some ribbon through the whole at the top. We will see.

SO it continued to snow through the night here and when we woke up I was off school again and the boys were ready to go out for round 2. They made tracks in the snow and built mountains as I cleared the drive way. We were outside for about an hour this time and the boys loved it. Josh my youngest decided to try the snow and he liked it..go figure I don't think that boy has found anything that he hasn't liked yet. Caleb just liked walking around in the snow and trying to find the hunks of snow stuck together and he called them snowballs. The snow wasn't real good for a snowman but I got some good pics of the boys playing. Now I have to figure out which ones to order and scrapbook these...I can't wait.

It was a snow day today and I was able to stay home with my family and enjoy the snow. Here is a picture of my youngest Josh playing in the snow. Now in St.Louis we do not get dumped on to very often and they aren't huge snow falls most of the time. We normally get sleet and ice with the snow which is what normally calls off school. We had some sleet but then a really dry snow afterwards which unfortunately isn't good for building a snow man, but the boys had a lot of fun. We were outside for about 30-45 minutes before they decided they had enough and we came in. Now it is still snowing so maybe we will be off tomorrow and I can craft a little. We will see...

I cropped all day yesterday with my Mom, sister Jessica and Friend Michelle over in Illinois from 9am-9pm. I won a few things $30 in Avon product, a giant teddy bear and I even bought some fun jewerly and cosmo mix. Even with all that fun I found time to scrapbook. I made this album of my time in Utah at the Album Retreat. I did a few pages for my mother, made some clipboards and took 2nd in their layout contest (were I won some rub ons and stickers). Over all the was a great day. Enjoy these photos.

I know it has been awhile since I posted..sorry I got out of the swing of things. This week was hard trying to get caught back up and things rolling but I think I am almost there.

I got my party pack today for a House Party I am doing on Superbowl Sunday. It was sponsored by Velvetta and I am so excited about this. I got Cheese, chips by Ritz, Kool-Aid and a jar of Rotel. Also there were like 16 velevetta containers, chip clips, a porcelin dip bowl, cups with labels, and recipe cards with coupons. Pretty cool. I have invited my friends over and will post pictures of the big event. YEAH!!!

The Album Retreat was amazing. I have never had to work so fast and get these pages completed. But they are totally worth it. Enjoy the show.

Another little album we made was put together by a fellow consultant Nona Davenport. I am attaching her blog so you can see the pics. Her pictures are much better than mine..and I don't have pictures on my album yet. Enjoy this as well.

Well I am now home and I am tired. It was exhausting making all the scrapbook pages.. but they are gorgeous!!! I will post them this week. My cube made it to the Top 10 but did not win. : ( The winning entry was 4 blocks stacked uneven with "baby" written on them and a music box. I was a sad for me but happy for her. It seemed to me the rules weren't followed when we all got to vote..but that is what happens. The Box projects were amazing. And when seeing them all there were some that were completely OUT Of the Box ideas. One lady turned it into a mailbox..another a boyscout ten..another a couple did wall hangings. Overall it was a great experience and I really enjoyed this. My downline Lisa White and I had a blast and finished every layout with time to spare. They are so detailed..but again I will post them tomorrow or something.

I am signing off..must go spend time with my boys.

I made the new Creation Cube with a twist. I cut the cube and flipped the peices. I made this for the Album Retreat contest and hopefully I win something. Each page is a calander for 2009. I tried to feature different products on each page so I could use this as a demo of different paper and products. I love it!

I edited these next two so these are really not what they look like anymore. October lost the spider web and the weird pumpkin. I added a stamped pumpkin on twill stickstock.

I am off for a few days...and I can hardly contain myself. I am boarding a plane at 7:50 with one of my downlines and friends Lisa White. It has been one week that I would love to forget between Dan in the hospital and Caleb getting strep throat...I NEED ME TIME!! I am headed to the CTMH Album Retreat tomorrow morning for 4 days in Salt Lake City. I can't wait to create new things and submit my artwork. Hopefully I will have good news to share with a win in a category. I am very excited about this, because this is my first Album Retreat. Check back in a few days for a picture of what I am submitting...it is my favorite project yet.

It has been one crazy week. My hubby went into the hospital with cellulitis in his right leg on Wednesday evening. So I have been "single mom'n it" since then. He will most likely be there a week. Eighteen months ago when this happened in the left leg he was there for two weeks. My issue this time is that the boys are older and don't want to go and see Daddy like that. Also I have the Album Retreat with Close to my Heart this week starting on Thursday. I have been conflicted if I should go or not..but my hubby says I will need a break by then. I just hope he is home before I leave and that it is worth it.

Enough pouring my heart out lets look at some artwork!!

I know many of you are Cricut owners.. so here is a project I made for a shower. My friends the Conders adopted a baby from Russia and we had a shower for them last night to celebrate this joyous occasion. I as in charge of paper crafts. So I made the invitations and the decorations. I used the Mickey Font Cartridge to make these items. The vellum votive holders are welded together using the Design Studio. enjoy..

Photobucket Here is another page I made using the KTMH paper pack. I will most likely use this as a birthday page at some time. I stamped the stars with the Star Struck stamp set and used our Acrylix circles over them. I like the way the page turned out..now I have to get some picture to fill it.

PhotobucketCTMH is doing a contest with the Key to my Heart campaign paper pack and stamp set. Check it out on my website http://www.stlstamper.myctmh.com/.

I have been so busy with getting back in the swing of school again that I am finding it hard to do much else at night. I am also starting to think about my trip to Salt Lake next week for the Annual Album Retreat that CTMH hold each year. I am getting so excited for it. It is my first time going, and I have some awesome projects that I will post while I am gone so you can see what is going on and how I do with them. But I don't want to give away the idea before hand so I am not posting it yet.

Well I have to go cook dinner talk to you soon. JEN

These are my oldest sons Christmas pages I made for him. I used the Evensong kit on these and the Cricut for there titles. I used my hidden tag trick again on his first spread. The tags slide in behind the photos and there are some stickease under them. I had to highlight some major events this year.. like Caleb sitting on Santa's lap, and him singing in a Christmas Program. He has really come a long way since he started school. I am in love with this boy that has finally come out of his shell.

So I have shown you these pages with no pictures and here they are in use. I scrapped my Christmas pages. The first one was from my October CLub project. The second pic is from a kit I got from Shannon Buck. I put my Voice Talk Recorder on that page with my sons Christmas wishes recorded on it. The third page is an example of the Level 1 of Evensong kit.

Here is a page I made with the Boom-Di-Ada paper pack and my cricut. I recieved the Cricut software and played around with it. That software with a Cricut Jukebox is dangerous!! I was welding words together and switching fonts. I fell in love!!! I used the Platin Schoolbook, Opposite Attract and Mickey Font cartridges. Above the picture with Caleb climbing a tree is a tag where all of the journaling is. I love hiding my journalling, and putting a tag behind a photo is a great way to do that. This is my first spread with a title this long..I am not sold on it but it did turn out nice.

I found out today that one of my club members got married on Dec 31st. We are meeting today to go shopping so I thought that I would make her a spread using some paper I have laying around. The Key to my Heart special right now was a perfect compliment to this page. I hope she likes it!!!

Happy New Year!!!! Last night my MIL came over and watched the boys so my hubby and I could go out with some fellow teachers. We had a great time. We went to a nice dinner at Trailhead in St. Charles and then back to a house to play games and have fun.

I have thought a little about the past year and all that I was able to do. I went to Dallas for a Calculator Convention...no laughing it was great. My family and I spent a whole week of vacation just traveling around the St.Louis area and experiencing new things together. My eldest started school and transitioned pretty well. I started blogging again and trying to make new projects a few times a week. And my biggest accomplishment probably was starting TWO scrapbooking clubs that are going very well.

Photobucket

I haven't done as well as I wanted this year with the business of CTMH but I am happy with it paying for my addiction of scrapbooking and meeting new people.

For this coming year I know already that I have another Calculator convention in Febuary and my first ever Album Retreat with CTMH in January. I am entering a few contests so I hope I can win one. I have a great little creavtive cube that I made into a calander that I hope is my winner. I am hoping this year brings better luck with Dan finding a new job, and the family even enjoying new adventures together.

I hope your New Year was great. I look forward to a better 2009!!!
